About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Business Unit in Transaction Banking space, covering both Cash and Trade.
  • Structure cash and trade solution with opportunities to grow existing and new customer relationship supporting the various Business Units in Sabah.
  • The individual will work with a team of Relationship Managers and respective stakeholders like Branches, Global market within the Bank to growth portfolio, revenue and relationship by understanding customers’ needs and put in place appropriate structure relating to Cash and Trade Finance requirement.
  • Manages the growth of both Cash and Trade portfolio
  • Maintains good relationship with both internal and external customers
  • Provide advice and support to stakeholders on Transaction Banking area, including running activities, training and advisory, as necessary
  • Highlight any risk and lapses observed for continuous improvements

Job Requirements

  • A recognized university degree
  • Relevant experience in Transaction Banking, credit and operations experience are added advantage
  • Matured, self driven and highly self motivated individuals with a passion for and a desire to have a career in Transaction Banking
  • Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Must be able to articulate himself/herself well against various levels of target audience.
  • Credit skill is added advantage
  • Strong local contacts and the ability to speak Mandarin and/or local dialects is an advantage.
