MEP SUPERINTENDENT (Electrical / Mechanical)

Job Title: MEP Superintendent (Electrical / Mechanical)

Location: Site Based

Reports To: MEP Project Manager

Job Summary:

The "Heart and Lungs" of the Data Centre. You are responsible for the physical installation, quality

control, and energization readiness of critical power and cooling systems.

Detailed Scope of Work (Data Centre Specific):

• Electrical Scope:

o Oversee installation of HV/MV Switchgear, Transformers, and Consumer Main Boards (CMB).

o Manage Busduct installation (high amperage) ensuring perfect jointing and insulation

resistance (IR) testing.

o Supervise UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and Battery room installation, ensuring

strict temperature and ventilation controls.

o Coordinate Generator set-up including fuel polishing systems and belly tanks.

• Mechanical Scope:

o Oversee Chilled Water (CHW) pipework welding/jointing, ensuring "Pickling and

Passivation" (chemical cleaning) standards are met to prevent corrosion.

o Manage installation of CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, ensuring precise

alignment with raised floor tiles.

o Supervise Thermal Energy Storage (TES) tank construction and testing.

• General Scope:

o BIM Validation: Use Navisworks on-site to verify that installed pipes/ducts match the

coordinated model to within mm tolerance.

o Level 1-3 Commissioning: Lead the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) witness and Site

Acceptance Tests (SAT) for delivered equipment.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years in M&E, with specific experience in Tier III / Tier IV Data Centres.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tiers and TIA-942 standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
