Job Summary:

The Logistics Operations Planner will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the day-to-day logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to various stakeholders. This includes managing transportation, inventory, warehouse operations, and working closely with suppliers, vendors, and other departments to meet customer demands effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Planning & Coordination:

Develop and implement logistics strategies to meet operational and customer requirements.

Plan and manage the transportation of goods, including selecting the most efficient carriers, routes, and delivery schedules.

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., supply chain, procurement, sales) to ensure alignment on product demand, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.

Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Work with the warehouse team to ensure optimal storage conditions and accurate inventory records.

Implement inventory tracking systems to ensure real-time visibility and accuracy of stock movements.

Transportation & Freight Management:

Coordinate with transportation companies and freight forwarders to manage deliveries.

Track and monitor the status of shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues or delays.

Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs while maintaining delivery performance.

Supply Chain Optimization:

Analyze and assess logistics processes to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Develop and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain operations, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction.

Monitor performance metrics such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and order fulfillment.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure all logistics operations comply with regulatory and safety requirements (e.g., customs, hazardous materials handling).

Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and transportation documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and delivery receipts.

Work with customs authorities to ensure smooth cross-border shipments.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.

Negotiate rates, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with external vendors and carriers.

Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality and reliability.

Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve any issues related to transportation, inventory, or deliveries.

Investigate discrepancies or delays and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding delivery status or any disruptions.

Reporting & Analysis:

Generate regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and transportation costs.

Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on data analysis.

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, order cycle time, and logistics costs.

Job Type: Fresh graduate

Pay: From RM1,500.00 per month
