Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on multiple client projects, leveraging your expertise in database management, SQL, and Microsoft technologies to deliver cutting-edge BI solutions. You will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights, enabling our clients to make data driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients in the retail sector to understand their business needs and translate them into BI solutions.
• Data Integration: Design, develop, and maintain robust data integration processes using ETL tools and methodologies.
• Database Management: Oversee database architecture, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance optimization.
• Report Development: Create compelling and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, delivering insights that drive business decisions.
• Data Flow Management: Utilize Azure Data Factory and Data Flow to manage data pipelines and workflows efficiently.
• SQL Expertise: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Microsoft Stack Utilization: Leverage the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, Azure, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) to build comprehensive BI solutions.
• Best Practices: Implement BI best practices and methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior BI team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, with a strong focus on the retail sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, database management, ETL processes, Python scripting and the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, Data Flow, Azure, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple client projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
