Jawatan Kosong English Language Teacher in Kajang
Job Requirement:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 - 2 years of teaching experience in Higher Education Institution
  • Education Qualification: A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Teaching English to Speakers to Other Languages (TESOL) / Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)
  • Possess a systematic, theory-based understanding of the body of knowledge applicable to the discipline
  • Possess conceptually-based Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data Analytics and formal / basic aspects of computer and information science to support analysis and modelling applicable to the discipline
  • Possess a systematic, theory-based formulation of fundamentals required in the relevant discipline
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
  • To teach courses in academic programmes as directed with a minimum equivalent of 18 credit hours per semester.
  • To conduct lecture, tutorial, practical session, studio or any other forms of course delivery as appropriate in the Outcome Based Education (OBE) approach.
  • To prepare lecture notes / materials as deemed appropriate and acceptable in a course at the level of study.
  • To prepare question papers and marking schemes as appropriate and acceptable at the level of study and mark accordingly the student scripts.
  • To carry out thorough moderation on test and examination papers
  • To conduct assessment in appropriate manner as prescribed in OBE which consist of tutorial, test, assignment, practical, project paper, final semester examination and any other forms of assessment as deemed appropriate in OBE.
  • To invigilate final examination sessions.
  • To prepare a teaching file for each course taught at the end of the semester as appropriate and following acceptable norm or standard.
  • To become an Academic Advisor of students and maintain good relationship with them from time to time.
  • To adhere to the Ethic and Professionalism in teaching and learning and observe the integrity of the profession.
Research and Publication
  • To conduct research in the respective field of expertise where appropriate
  • To write and publish academic papers where appropriate in scholarly journals accepted by IUKL.
Administration and others
  • To be actively involved in the faculty committee where appropriate.
  • To keep record of course class list and update student attendance record on a weekly basis and to make sure all attendance records are submitted at the end of the semester.
  • To submit a record of students who do not attend classes to AE.
  • To attend courses / training / seminars relevant to teaching and learning as instructed from time to time which contribute to the programmes.
  • To obtain professional qualifications in the profession, where appropriate, for the sustainability of the programmes.
  • To participate in marketing or promotional activities where appropriate as directed from time to time.
  • To oversee the administration, implementation of academic programs and to enhance their quality
  • To participate in activities carried out by students and the university
  • To participate in institutional development including in service training and to provide guidance to junior lecturer in terms of counselling or training
  • Any other tasks / duties as instructed by HoP / HoPP / Dean / DVC / VC from time to time.
