Job Description

• Design, install, configure, and maintain relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
• Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and reliability
• Manage database objects (tables, indexes, views, triggers) and optimize query performance
• Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning and execution
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production within SLA
• Implement database security, user roles, and access controls
• Automate routine database tasks (monitoring, maintenance, deployments)
• Support data migration and database upgrades across environments
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with standards
• Collaborate with development teams on database design and best practices

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT / Computer Science or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in database engineering / administration
• Strong experience in Oracle / SQL Server / DB2
• Strong SQL skills, performance tuning, and optimization
• Experience in backup, recovery, and high availability setups
• Familiarity with scripting (Shell / PowerShell / Python) is an advantage
• Experience supporting production environments
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to support after-hours incidents when required
